Trump, Brexit, the refugee crisis, digitalisation, growing organisations, global competition and political values are all topics that preoccupy leaders in the public sector and the corporate world. The conditions for today’s leadership are rapidly changing, and this requires strong leaders who can handle complexity in times of turbulence.

Many companies’ and public organisations’ answer to this is resilience in the form of mergers, amalgamations and centralisation of strategies in ever-growing organisations. But how can we ensure that organisations and companies do not turn into silos and locked systems with very limited opportunities for local adjustment for each employee and unit? Because leadership during turbulent and rapidly changing times requires agile employees and leaders, as well as agile organisations in which the daily organisation is flexible and adjustable. But how can the organisational and leadership development occur at different speeds within the same organisation? And what does this mean for leadership and leaders?

Together, we will answer questions like these at the annual Summer Institute 2017 conference, which will be conducted by Mannaz, Attractor and the Taos Institute.

The conference is designed as a lab for leaders, practitioners, researchers, consultants and experts where, together, we will provide up-to-the-minute answers to everyday leadership challenges and create new paths for dialogical leadership and organisational development.

Involvement that adds value

At the Summer Institute you will participate in creative workshops, presentations, knowledge sharing, debates and dialogues, which will provide inspiration for improved leadership and more successful organisations.

The co-creating conference consists of two formats – Learning Labs and Talks – that have three or four sessions running simultaneously, so you can choose the ones that are most relevant to you. Some will be conducted in English, others in Danish – read more in the coming expanded programme.

“Learning Labs” are prolonged workshops that result in great learning outcomes for you. They each touch on a specific topic with an inspiring case and a pertinent leadership challenge. You will have an opportunity to reflect on the application of various models and challenges in relation to your own organisation and potentially incorporate issues from your own job.

“Talks” are brief presentations that quickly and easily provide you with detailed knowledge from researchers, consultants and experts alike who have their finger on the pulse.

Time and place

The conference takes place 4-5 July 2017 in scenic surroundings at Mannaz, Kogle Allé 1, Hørsholm.

We arrange free transportation to and from Copenhagen Central Station.

The presentations that are described in Danish will be conducted in Danish and all other presentations will be conducted in English.

You must choose three Talks and one Learning Labs on day one, and two Learning Labs on day two.
